Confirmation Requirements
• Attend all six (6) sessions for preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. (Please see dates)
• Choose at least six (6) High School Gospel Study sessions to attend. The more the better! (Please see dates)
• Attend the "Rite of Welcome" at the 10:30 AM Mass at Corpus Christi Church on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Sit with your family in the congregation and your teen will be called upon by name during the liturgy.
• Attend the YOUTH MASS on Sunday, December 6, 2010 at the 10:30 AM Mass.
• Attend the "Advent Reconciliation Service" on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in the church starting at 7:30 PM.
• Attend the entire RETREAT for CONFIRMATION. This is scheduled for the weekend of February 26 - 28, 2010 at Camp Arroyo in Livermore. Your teen will not miss school on Friday, February 26. The retreat will end following Mass and lunch in the early afternoon on Sunday, February 28.
• Attend at least one of the many Lenten Friday evening services that will be offered during Lent. This could be the Stations of the Cross or a Lenten Reconciliation Service for example. This calendar will be available closer to the Lenten Season.
• Service or involvement at the Parish Level with Corpus Christi Church. You will be informed of various opportunities to participate throughout the year.
• Attend Mass. Mass times: Saturday at 5 PM, Sunday at 8:00 and 10:30 AM.Make an effort as a family during this time of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation to make attending Mass a priority.
• Parent Involvement.
• Rehearsal for the Rite of Confirmation with Maggie and Fr. Leo on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 6:30 PM in the church. Please arrive by 6:15 PM to check in. Sponsors should be present at this rehearsal. If unavailable, then a parent may step in. This rehearsal lasts about one hour.
• RITE OF CONFIRMATION at the 10:30 Mass at Corpus Christi Church with Bishop Salvatore Cordileone on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Please arrive no later than 9:45 AM to secure a parking space and any extra pew space you may need for your family. Each Confirmation Candidate will be designated one pew for their family.
