Contact the Maggie Johnson at 530-4343 ext. 25 for HSGS or Leadership.
We invite all confirmed teens (11th and 12th grades) to participate in the High School Gospel Study (HSGS) as one way to continue their life-long faith growth. These already-confirmed teens have the opportunity to lead different aspects of these sessions. The HSGS meets in the Keller Library (enter through the church) at 9:30 a.m. and will finish before the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. During these sessions we break open the Word of God through the Gospel reading of the weekend. This is experience-based learning of the theology of the Catholic Faith.

This group of confirmed teens (11th and 12th graders) works together to help and journey with those who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and/or participates actively with the greater parish community in serving as Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers at Sunday Mass, for example. There are many, many ways to be a leader in the Catholic Church. Some people are given gifts that are front and center; others are given gifts for leadership which are more quiet and "behind-the-scene". All are valid and needed to build the Kingdom of God. Leadership Group is open to anyone, who is confirmed, who wants to continue their own personal faith growth and share in passing on the Catholic Faith to others (especially the Confirmation Candidates). Leaders gather throughout the year for training, community building, retreats, service, parties, and for planning events and sessions. Generally, Leadership meets on Sunday afternoons and/or evenings.
