DESCRIPTION:More Info in 2025 Jubilee flyer \nMy Dear Sisters and Brothers\, \nIn the year 1300\, Pope Boniface VIII proclaimed a Jubilee Holy Year of Mercy and promulgated that in the future a Jubilee Holy Year would be celebrated every 25 years.  Pope Boniface adopted this religious tradition\, from our Jewish Mother Faith. \nDuring a Jubilee Holy Year\, special churches and shrines are designated as pilgrimage destinations\, where the faithful are encouraged to gather in prayer. \nPope Francis has announced that this year\, 2025\, is the Jubilee Holy Year of Hope. \nIn response to the Pope’s request\, Bishop Barber has designated eleven churches of our Diocese as pilgrimage destination sites.  Our parish has the privilege of being one of the eleven churches given the honor of hosting one of the Jubilee Holy Year of Hope\, Days of Prayer. \nThis coming Friday\, March 7th\, many of our sisters and brothers from across the Diocese will make a pilgrimage to our church\, offering prayers of hope for themselves and for our world.  I encourage you to set aside time to come to our beautiful place of worship and spend 15 to 30 minutes in quiet prayer and reflection. \nBeginning with Mass at 8:00 a.m. the church will be open all day for visitations.  At 7:00 p.m. the Day of Prayer will conclude with Evening Prayer and Benediction\, which will be led by Bishop Barber.   \nYour brother in Christ\,\nFr.
