What is Family Faith Formation?
Fun and developmentally appropriate
activities using crafts, stories, music, and
movement to unfold the message of Jesus’ love.
We share Pope Francis’ belief that parents are the best teachers,
so they are an integral part of our program.
Right now during the Coronvirus Shelter-in-Place order, our classroom curriculum from Catholic Children’s Bible and Discover Resources is available online at: https://www.smp.org/resourcecenter/resource/13609/
Normally, classes for children in kindergarten through 6th grade meet Sunday mornings during the months of September through April. Sunday classes are held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. in the school classrooms. We support parents in sharing our faith with regular parent discussion groups and monthly whole family learning experiences where children of all grades gather together with their parents. Families are encouraged to attend mass together either before or after class.
Children planning on receiving the sacrament of First Communion as a 2nd grader should attend Faith Formation classes beginning in the 1st grade in order to be fully prepared.
