WINGS (Women in God’s Spirit)
This faith enhancement group for women encourages spiritual growth through prayer, Scripture study, life sharing and community. The theme for the 2024 season is “Walking the Journey of Faith.” The meetings will take place at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 30 Mandalay Road in Oakland. We are called to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. Join us to view, The Letter, a 90-minute documentary film, inspired by Pope Francis’s encyclical, Laudato si’. The film focuses onhow our spiritual values call us to take action onthe planetary emergency. We will watch and discuss the film, and then consider how we can take action. Living Our Faith is a group that seeks to discern how the spirit is moving in our personal lives, in our faith community and in the greater community. At our meetings we pray, share faith journeys and uncover ways to practice faith in action. This is an evolving group that welcomes new members.
